IET Victoria Network

Welcome to the Victoria Network of the IET

The IET represents the public, professional and educational interest of over 150,000 electrical, electronic and manufacturing engineers world-wide. Key activities include publishing, the organisation of conferences, the maintenance of technical standards, interaction with government departments and the provision of scientific and technical information services. By joining the IET you can become registered with Engineering Council in the UK. The IET has a mutual recognition agreement with Engineers Australia that enables an IET Chartered Engineer (CEng) to be recognised as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in Australia.

The Victoria Network is an active network of Electrical, Computer, Communications, Mechatronics and Information Technology engineers. The Victoria Network committee, which consists of volunteers organises networking events, engineering seminars for the public and sponsorship of awards and final year Electrical engineering project exhibitions at key Victorian universities. The Victoria Network Young Professionals Section (YPS) is one of the most active networks within the IET community. Through the collective efforts of our volunteer committee members, we aim to provide direct and targeted support and membership enhancement to local Victorian members, students and the broader engineering community.

Younger Members' Section

Victoria's Young professionals section (YPS) is one of the most active networks within the IET community. Through the collective efforts of our committee members (volunteers), we aim to directly provide support and membership enhancement to our local Victorian members, students and the broader engineering community. Whatever your interests and involvement in engineering, we aim to have something that will attract you to participate in our programme. If you have an idea for an event, we look forward to hearing from you.
