Americas

Events and worldwide networking opportunities for engineers and technologists in North America, South and Central America, the Caribbean, and Greenland.

The IET welcomes engineers and technologists throughout Americas to join its geographic and technical communities and participate in its events and other activities.

About the Americas Region

With 5000 members in the North America, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Greenland, there are four established networks in the region and a growing list of interim networks.

The IET awards more UK professional registrations than any other organization. The Chartered Engineer professional registration is the highest level awarded by the Engineering Council and it is recognized globally. The IET is committed to help our members with their professional registration and has staff and international professional registration advisors (IPRAs) in the region available to assist our members. Please contact the professional registration team for more information.

The IET’s Inspec database contains over 11 million searchable bibliographic abstracts and indexing to journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports and other literature in the fields of science and technology. The IET has a specialist Inspec Office in this region to support your needs. Please contact our New Jersey Office for further information.

The IET is a member of the Automation Federation (AF). The AF is an association of member organizations providing awareness, programs and services that continually advance all facets of the automation profession. The AF serves as the “Voice of Automation” by providing advocacy and industry-wide strategic analysis and coordination through its member organizations.

The development of existing and new communities within the region is supported by the Americas Communities Committee Community Committee Americas (CC-A).
