Introduction
William Lyons’ original vision was to build motorcycle sidecars. By 1927, however, he had moved on to cars. In 1931, he launched what would be the first of many legendary vehicles: the SS1. As his cars improved, he needed a name that would better reflect their speed, sleekness and raw power. In 1935, Jaguar was born.
The all new XJ is a blend of stunning design, intuitive technology and innovative thinking. The Institution for Engineering and Technology is pleased to present this exclusive technical visit to Jaguar Cars Castle Bromwich. The visit will allow attendees to see, learn and experience the latest technology, logistics and lean manufacturing used to assembly these high end vehicles.
