Cisco and the IET

Cisco has joined forces with the IET to give Cisco certified professionals an assured fast-track route to IET membership.

Cisco and the IET are both global organisations committed to professional development and raising standards in the technology sector. Thanks to an agreement between them, active Cisco professionals have an assured fast-track entry route to membership of the IET. The agreement provides Cisco professionals with member products and services, and now a path to becoming professionally registered as ICTTech, a new qualification for ICT professionals.

Cisco Career Certifications are globally respected IT certification programmes, and the IET recognises them as a worldwide assurance of professionalism in the IT industry. As a Cisco certified-professional, you can therefore apply for IET membership with designatory letters without the need for someone to support your application.

Advantages of IET membership

Becoming a Cisco-certified member of the IET is invaluable in helping you succeed throughout your career. It provides you with access to the dedicated resources, training and qualifications you need – how you want them and when you need them. In addition, you will also experience the wide range of benefits of joining the IET’s dynamic global community and knowledge network.

First step to becoming professionally registered

IET membership is also the first step towards becoming professionally registered. The IET offers its members registration as Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporate Engineer (IEng), Engineering Technician (EngTech) and now ICT Technician (ICTTech).

ICTTech is a new global professional standard specially developed for today’s IT and communications professionals. It will complement your Cisco certification to provide you with the opportunity to take your career to the next level.
